Technology - Lasermaster Game + Laser Tag - Summer Camps 2011

Overview:

Web Page Design + Lasermaster Software Challenge = Software Games Programming + Lasermaster Tag + More Fun

We will offer four different exciting activities: In our new 18-notebook and 8 desktop computer lab, we will introduce computer game software programming with an intuitive interface (Conitec's Game Studio) that allows grade 1 to grade 7 students to easily understand light C language concepts for future Upper School and University C language courses. Lasermaster Software Game Challenge, Web Page Design. Also Lasermaster Tag, - Basic Chess Skills, and hands-on Lasermaster Game, in one or two weeks full day camps or morning or afternoon half day camps in Collingwood Preparatory Elementary School and Hollyburn Country Club in West Vancouver.

(1-1/2 Hours) Software programming with an intuitive interface (Conitec's Game Studio) that allows grade 1 to grade 7 students to easily understand light C language concepts for future Upper School and University C language courses. Students will design and develop a complete working game, which will be playable from their home computers. Graphics and sound will be used to enhance their game play. A step-by-step approach with an overhead projector will be taken to give each student's creative ability a chance to develop.

(1-1/2 Hours) New Lasermaster Game Challenges: Students will be taught basic chess moves; advanced Lasermaster moves, compete in Lasermaster board and software game challenges, playing rated games. Trophies and participation certificates will be awarded to high achievers at the end of each Enrichment programme. Students will play each other in a networked computer lab at Collingwood school in July and Hollyburn Country Club in August.

(1-1/2 Hours) Lasermaster Tag: Lasermaster Tag is a team or individual sport where players attempt to score points by engaging targets typically with a hand-held infrared-emitting tagger.

(1-1/2 Hours) Web Design: Students will be taught Front Page and create their own special website based on Lasermaster summer camp.

Awards: The best web page and computer game will be voted by all the summer campers students.

We have been apart of Collingwood School Society for 12 years, come join the fun in our 4 camps for 1 or 2 weeks 6 hours a day this summer. Programme Leader: Peter Embleton and Lasermaster Staff Team
